W12 - Insight Sharing - Let not your heart be troubled

Image
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. John 14:1 Not matter the circumstance what a blessing it is for us that our Heavenly Father and brother Jesus Christ are there for us. We can always rely on them to help when help is needed or just to have someone to lean on for comfort. They both know that we are not perfect, that is why we were sent to earth, to learn and to have the free will to choose to believe in them and want to humble ourselves before them to allow them to help us. There has been some stuff that I have been having to deal with within my family and last week I really needed to know that I had God & Jesus Christ there to help me gain perspective on what I needed to do and is something that I am grateful for.

W10 - Insight Sharing - Enduring to the End

Image
If I endure to the end, I shall be saved Matt 24:13 President Dieter F. Uchtdorf said “The blessings that come to us from enduring to the end in this life are real and very significant.” The talk he gave Enduring to the End was a great talk and explains what enduring to the end really means. Enduring tends to sound like a bad thing but it really isn’t. President Uchtdorf put it into words that so nicely explains it and I hope to be able to accomplish because the blessings are beyond our comprehension: “Enduring to the end implies “patient continuance in well doing” (Romans 2:7), striving to keep the commandments (see 2 Nephi 31:10), and doing the works of righteousness (see D&C 59:23). It requires sacrifice and hard work. To endure to the end, we need to trust our Father in Heaven and make wise choices, including paying our tithes and offerings, honoring our temple covenants, and serving the Lord and one another willingly and faithfully in our Church callings and responsibilities. ...

W08 Insight Sharing - The Resurrection

Image
Because of the resurrection I can have everlasting life. John 11:25-26 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. This scripture gives me comfort to know that anyone that as long as I believe and those of my friends and family believe, that we will be together after we die. There are people that I have loved and lost that I love forward to seeing again someday. I cannot imagine the added heartbreak would be if I did not believe and have a testimony of this. To not believe that I would be with my loved ones again would make losing someone so much harder. I am so grateful for this knowledge. My only hope and prayer is that my family & friends will gain a testimony of this for themselves if they don’t already. The resurrection is such a special gift to us from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that helped make it possible, tha...

W06 Insight Sharing - Judge not

Image
John 8:7-12 7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. 8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. 9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. 12 ¶ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the alight of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. I should not judge others for what I perceive as sins as we are all sinners and should not judge  It is not always easy to not judge others. But we do not know what other peop...

W04 Insight Sharing - Daughter your faith has made thee whole

Image
Mark 5:25-34 25  And a certain woman, which had an  a issue of blood  twelve years, 26  And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, 27  When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his  a garment . 28  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. 29  And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in  her  body that she was healed of that plague. 30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that  a virtue  had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? 31  And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 32  And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. 33  But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down b...

W02 Insight Sharing - Fishers of Men

Image
For this weeks discussion I posted about having Faith in Jesus Christ.  Mark 1:17-18   17 And Jesus said unto them, come ye after me, and I will make you to become a fishers of men. 18 And straightway they forsook their nets and followed him. Principle:  I need to show faith in Jesus and follow him. Jesus was walking along the sea of Galilee and saw Simon and Andrew on their boat throwing nets to catch fish. He called out to them and asked them to follow him. He then did the same for James and John. They all forsook what they were doing to follow him. They all had the faith to drop what they were doing and follow Jesus Christ without even a hint of doubt, that is faith. Being able to follow Jesus Christ without doubt and just have faith in him to not lead you astray and to be able to look out for you, it faith. In my life now there are times that I struggle with faith but when it is something really important I don’t seem to hesitate. Faith is not always easy but oh the b...
