W08 Insight Sharing - The Resurrection

 


Because of the resurrection I can have everlasting life. John 11:25-26

25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.

This scripture gives me comfort to know that anyone that as long as I believe and those of my friends and family believe, that we will be together after we die. There are people that I have loved and lost that I love forward to seeing again someday. I cannot imagine the added heartbreak would be if I did not believe and have a testimony of this. To not believe that I would be with my loved ones again would make losing someone so much harder. I am so grateful for this knowledge. My only hope and prayer is that my family & friends will gain a testimony of this for themselves if they don’t already.

The resurrection is such a special gift to us from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that helped make it possible, that I can only strive to be worthy of this gift someday. When my each of my in-laws passed it was gut wrenching but the knowledge that I would see them again helped ease the pain. I miss my in-laws but I know that one day I will see them and for that I am grateful.

W12 - Insight Sharing - Let not your heart be troubled

  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. John 14:1 Not matter the circumstance what a blessing it is for us that our Heavenly Father and brother Jesus Christ are there for us. We can always rely on them to help when help is needed or just to have someone to lean on for comfort. They both know that we are not perfect, that is why we were sent to earth, to learn and to have the free will to choose to believe in them and want to humble ourselves before them to allow them to help us. There has been some stuff that I have been having to deal with within my family and last week I really needed to know that I had God & Jesus Christ there to help me gain perspective on what I needed to do and is something that I am grateful for.
